In a shocking display of hubris and/or lackadaisical planning, Carbon Leaf announced their Fall Tour titled, JUMP IN OR FALL TOUR 2013 mere seconds ago, within the header of this very news article.
No one noted the absurdity of releasing this news now, because it's mostly a beautiful day across the country and everyone is outdoors.
"Saturday noontime press releases are usually the death-knell for acquisitioning readers according to traditional media consumption pattern studies," noted one marketing professional, who requested not to be identified.
When approached for comment on the sidewalk, Carbon Leaf's haggard-looking lead singer Barry Privett agreed to be interviewed, shortly after releasing an obligatory overly-dramatic sigh and roll-of-the-eyes.
"We felt that a 'soft announcement' of the JUMP IN OR FALL TOUR 2013 was our best bet," Privett exclaimed.
"Doing bigger announcements" he continued, "requires a lot of meeting and planning and video and stuff, and we want to go outside and enjoy the new summer weather - along with, like, everyone else, before jumping back into the studio...so, what better way to celebrate Summer than to just get the Fall Tour announcements out of the way, you know?"

"If that seems like a long way off," Privett continued, "we also have some sweet Summer Shows we'd like people to know about...if you could include that in your article, or whatever..." Privett said before trailing off into unintelligible mumbles.

Carbon Leaf's guitarist, Terrell Clark, refused comment.
