Barry's Road Journal 10.15.01 We (three tour buses - Red, Blue and Green [closer to Teal, really, which is our bus]) are sitting in the parking lot of the Best Western - and have for an hour and a half - waiting to get the Red and Blue buses started, as both of them are dead due to battery failure. How this simultaneously happened has stumped everyone, but we did watch Starman yesterday on the bus, and when Jeff Bridges (Starman) would walk by appliances, they would turn on and off, due to his spage-age aura, or something. HOWEVER, This ALSO happened to Richard Dreyfuss at the Rail Road crossing in Close Encounters of the Third Kind; the truck turned on and off and the crossing lights blink on and off and swayed violently. AND, this power-surging phenom continued in the film at the home of the Mother who's little boy (who's name in the film happens to be BARRY - coincidence?) was finally abducted by the friendly green bastards. What is interesting is this: Two buses are sitting with dead batteries. The Blue Bus (Starman glowed BLUE just before doing something inherently 'alien') and the Red Bus (The outside of little boy Barry's house glowed bright RED just before he was slurped from the house). Now, I haven't been to St. Louis since I was a little boy, about the same age as 'Barry' in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. AND, I DID make eye contact with Jeff Bridges once at the Country Club of Va., where I filmed my (deleted) scenes for 'The Contender' in Richmond. [I wasn't supposed to make eye contact and, in fact, was specifically instructed NOT to. I just accidentally looked into a room he was chilling in and he just kind of looked up.] Now, I'm not saying that there was some alien activity going on in that parking lot in St. Louis, MO that caused TWO of three buses - the Blue and the Red ones - to go dead. All I'm saying is that my name is Barry, my favorite color is green, and my bus is fine.
